Description

Here are some photos of Hasegawa's P-47-D26, 509th FS/405th FG. The pilot was Lt. James R. Hopkins during 1944.

Additional work includes wiring the engine, adding brake lines, front iron sight, grounding wire, seat belts/buckles, additional levers, handles, and knobs added to interior. All these extras were scratch built.

Machine gun blast tubes are from vinyl covered paper clips. The main wheels are sourced from True Details and the iron ring sight from Verlinden.

Decals are Aero Master.

The Olive Drab paint is my own mix of Model Master' old bottles. Red is Model Master Insignia Red with Testor's Gloss Orange added for shade and brilliance.
