Painting
Batman and the base were painted
with a personal mix of Acrylic paints using the Aztek A470 airbrush
fitted with the fine (tan colored) tip.
The colors were mixed to match photographs of the prototype found
on
Formation Design's website, with special consideration to
attaining high contrast on this monochrome colour scheme.
Only a few details such as the white eyes and silver buttons on
the Utility Belt were picked out with a fine paintbrush.
The Aztek A470 airbrush was used for all the remaining aspects of
the model including the shading on Batman's costume and the marbling
effect on the resin base.
The black cape, mask, boots, belt, the bat o his chest and the
gloves were very lightly polished with a fingertip to convey the
impression of a different, almost rubbery, texture.
